      Advanced Process Controls Engineer

Using Aspen DMC plus as a Model based Predictive Control application platform to economically optimize cryogenic processes (Air Seperation Unit (Cryo-Distillation), Nitrogen Liquefier, Hydrogen Liquefier, Gaseous Product Pipeline and Steam Methane Reforming (Hydrogen or Syngas)Remarkable Accomplishment: Successfully implemented the first DMC application for Liquefied Hydrogen Process in Air Products. The DMC project on the liquefied Hydrogen Process was incomplete and unsuccessful for nearly 10 years. 1). Collaborate with Process Engineer/ Operators to strategically design process control network for MPC in terms of plant optimization and ease of operation2). Implement Aspen DMC on cryogenic processes as a project lead (no supervision) to provide stable operation, increase throughput, improve product recovery, and reduce utility cost. Three new MPC projects in ASU on To-Do list.3). Refine/Retrofit existing MPC models/internal logics/control strategy to meet plant operation changes or performance improvement4). Continuously support (24-7), monitor and tune MPC performance on eight plants in different type of processes in North of America. Each of eight plants may have more than one MPC controllers plantwide.5). MPC server maintenance and troubleshoot e.g. issues with DCS communication, licensing update, server upgrade and etc.6). Experienced with Aspen InfoPlus.21 historianContribute over total 1 million dollars per year since employment by implementing Advanced control applications without supervision.Maintaining Air Products home-grown Advanced control system for four Air Separation plants. PEER-TO-PEER RECOGNITION AWARD AIR PRODUCTS AND CHEMICALS Apr 2016 I wanted to Thank Tu for a fine job in getting the MP GOX load following running great. Our customer had cut back from 280 M to 94 M and after MPC adjusted the 01.20B compressor flows, well they decided to come back up to 280M, MPC handled that great also. With this operating good, it leaves me time to handle other task and not have to worry concerning MOTIVA rates. "Thanks" Tu for awesome work on MPC tuning.By ASU Operator
