  Client : BROCADETeam size : 15 Role and Task:Module - Clear Link Diagnostics (D_Port)- Designed and developed a new version of D_Port which fixes all the limitations and issues in previous design and can catch more link level errors at electrical (ASIC and SFP level) and optical level (Optical cable level). It is compatible with latest 32Gig link speed. Fixed multiple customer issues.Module - FabricWorked on many Fabric protocols which are responsible for link initialization, port bring up and exchanges switch capabilities with other switches in Fabric. Protocols -ELP (Exchange Link Parameters), ESC (Exchange switch capabilities), EMT/ETP (Trunking protocol). Fixed multiple defects related to link instability and segmentation.Module - Zoning- Designed and implemented 3 Zone Server Commands to fetch Alias information from Fabric GAL (Get Alias List), GAM (Get Alias Members) & GAN (Get Alias Name given a WWN) required for Smart SAN.- Involved in Design and development of TDZ (Target Driven Zoning) for HP Smart SAN. - Designed and developed a new hash table where key is WWN and associated item is zone configuration. The idea was to enhance the performance of zone module. - Enhanced Zoning CLIs to display zone members (WWN and D,I in zone DB) in sorted form for the ease of users.- Debugged and fixed many issues related to switch crash, memory leak.Overall:---------- Participation in code review, technical reviews and ensure the quality of Deliverable.- Testing and Development of newly introduced FC platform switches with latest firmware.- Strengthened developmental methodologies by introducing a code quality document.- Worked closely with clients to establish problem specifications and system designs.- Identified and suggested new features and tools for enhancing product value and increasing team productivity.- Developed code fixes and enhancements for inclusion in future code releases andpatches.
