      Activities and Societies: Received Graduate School Fellowship, Tuition, and Dissertation Fellowships, was a member of the American Political Science Association during and after my time in graduate school. Obtained a Ph.D. in political science. Examined sub-fields were international politics, empirical political theory, and analytic political theory. Published two articles in peer review journals while in graduate school, "Wallerstein and his Critics," which appeared in THEORY AND SOCIETY in 1985 and "Thucydides and Neorealism," which appeared in the INTERNATIONAL STUDIES QUARTERLY in 1989. Latter piece was published as the lead article in that issue of the INTERNATIONAL STUDIES QUARTERLY.… Show more Obtained a Ph.D. in political science. Instructed political science, teaching classes in introductory American politics, upper-division international relations (theory and international political economy) and comparative politics (British, German, and European politics, European political development, comparative political economy), boosting student awareness about and knowledge of these subjects.

      I began free-lance writing in the summer of 2009 and now have up to now 100+ articles in print. For over 2 years, I was a guest columnist for the CHINA DAILY metro metro edition, while frequently contributing guest editorials to the China national and overseas editions of the paper. My articles have also appeared in the GLOBAL TIMES, CHINA CONSTRUCTION NEWS, BUSINESS TIANJIN magazine, HIGH ABOVE (in-flight magazine of Hainan Airlines), magazine of the Cheung Kong Business School, Beijing, THE FINANCIALIST (Credit Suisse), and the private e-newsletter on the Chinese economy, CHINA CAPITALIST. At the same time, served as a part-time English editor for the German Archaeological Institute in Beijing, including being the chief English editor for its Silk Road Fashion archaeological research project.
