  I serve as the Deputy Director of Operations for the Birmingham CrossPlex. I have the opportunity to oversee three venues that make up over 750,00sqft of competition and event space to include an indoor track & field venue, natatorium, volleyball venue and a 5,000 seat arena. We host over 200 events a year that include track & field, swimming, volleyball, wrestling, basketball, cheer/dance, jiu jitsu, concerts, conventions and shows. I've been honored to be a part of 29 NCAA Championships at the CrossPlex serving in multiple capacities as Tournament Director, Championship Manager and Marketing Manager covering all three NCAA Divisions. I serve as the direct supervisor for the Event and Venue Managers assigned to Bill Harris Arena, Indoor Track and Volleyball Complex and the Natatorium and provide leadership in the areas of event recruitment, facility and event operations, marketing and promotions, ticket sales and community engagement.I develop and maintain relationships with associations that can assist with recruiting events.I respond to stakeholder needs, projects, priorities and emergencies as needed and expected by clients and tenants.I lead the creation of strategic partnerships which will include developing, improving and renewing corporate and community relationships and measuring their effectiveness.I support the Director as liaison with all local and national regulatory agencies ensuring facility and corporate adherence to required ordinances.I assist with the development of scope of work and negotiation of vendor contracts in support of building maintenance and capital improvement projects.I provide direction and oversight for Food and Beverage department, to include concept and menu development.
