Reached out and visited every taxing body of the County and established the first of a kind "Citizen Help Desk", an "in-office" and mobile service unit to assist residents with tax questions, assessment inquiries and other issues. First department to place all line item budgets and expenditures on line for past and current years.* Prepared all bills and receipts for the purposes of tax collection in Madison County. Able to cut the cost of producing the bill. Managed the collection of tax revenues on behalf of all taxing districts in the County and first to post all distribution amounts on the department website. * Created the Madison County Treasurer's "Micro-Loan Small Business Development Program", in cooperation with the Bank of Edwardsville and Justine Petersen - the program helps startup business development in Madison County. Was awarded Local Government Leadership Award for this program. Also revised the Treasurer Office website, complete with new downloads, information sheets and presentations.* I reduced the interest rate (to a weighted average of 5%) for the Delinquent Tax Sale and opened up the bidding process for full transparency and accountability.
