      Summer Research Intern

      I worked as a summer research intern at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur under the aegis of the Material Science Program. I wish to thank Dr Kamal K Kar of the Mechanical Engineering department and Material Science Program to have awarded me this position.I worked on the structural stability of bileaflet mechanical heart valves so as to prevent any Thrombosis (coagulation of platelets during blood flow) and using optimisation of the areolar area, velocity we determined the optimum thickness of the bi leaflet heart valve.I used the mechanical computational software ANSYS for the process and modelled, calculated, and studied the heart valves using this software.
