      Managed and Implemented Corporate Training programme for staff and officers of FCI, especially induction training programme for Management Trainees. Highlights of achievements are as under: • Designed training policy and structure for 36000 staff and officers of FCI• Developed a detailed project report (DPR) to revamp the in-house training institute of FCI i.e. Institute of Food Security, Gurgaon• Trained more than 900 newly recruited Management Trainees under induction training programme for Managers with the objective to deploy them as change agents in transforming perception about FCI. In the process, I initiated campaign of “1000 small changes every month” in various offices of FCI for better service delivery to citizens• Supervised the induction training programme for more than 7000 junior executives in various states/zones• Coneptualised special training programme for senior officers through institutions of repute such as IIMA, NALSAR etc. Additional responsibility involved advising C&MD on policy matters, innovation and strategic issues, and managing external communication, especially press and media. Important achievements are as under:• Contributed in development of National Food Security Act from FCI’s perspective with projections of procurement, allocation, distribution, cost implication, risk assessment etc and reforms required in PDS• Analysis of MIS and KPI data for action plan in movement, storage and evacuation• Analysis of food inflation, strategy for open sales intervention and other important policy issues• Supervision and coordination of MoU signing with Ministry of Food, Parliamentary Committees and other planning and research matters Show less I held responsibility for 2 Divisions simultaneously i.e. for "Import & Export" as well as "Purchase" Divisions of FCI at its Headquarters.Important achievements are as under:• Streamlined gunny supply to FCI by resolving old issues with Jute Millers Association and DGS&D, Kolkata• Resolved all old pending (litigation) issues and CAG Audit observations related to gunny purchase, Import & Export• Settled all the import bills with importing agencies, shipping agencies and insurance agencies• Prepared a case for relaxation in compulsory use of jute gunny bags for food grain packaging to reduce the cost of operations and initiated the purchase of HDPE/PP bags. Besides, launched the idea to move to CCI against cartelisation for supply of Aluminium Phosphide to FCI• Supervised the MIS and data compilation for gunny supply, chemical supplies, import of wheat, bills settlement etc. Show less Held several responsibilities in field offices as well as Headquarters which included monitoring Minimum Support Price (MSP) operated procurement of food grains from farmers, monitoring sales of subsidised food grains to designated agencies, import and export of food grains, planning and research related to MIS of FCI, supervision and monitoring of gunny and chemical supplies, coordination and policy evolution etc. Some of the important accomplishments are as under: • Successfully implemented the district module of IISFM project under the leadership of then Executive Director• Coordinated with the McKinsey & Co. team to evolve the strategies for revamping functioning of FCI. My original ideas on using linear programming for planning country-wide transport of food grains for least cost/distance along with evolving new performance indicators and streamlined MIS got a shape in the final report• Evolved strategy plan for better and effective Public Relations/Corporate Communications by FCI• Developed a report on ‘possibilities of initiating procurement of food grains in traditionally non-procuring states for enhanced net social benefits in the country• Developed a report on benefits of initiating procurement in North-East States through localised MSP • Introduced a number of small steps to prevent leakages and restructured public dealings to ward off corrupt practices by minimising interaction of officials and staff while working in District Office• Received letter of appreciation from Chairman & Managing Director, FCI during 2004 Show less

      After the secondment at Delhi Judicial Academy, I assumed the charge in Stocks Division of FCI Headquarters in New Delhi. During two and half years of my tenure the storage and transit losses improved in spite of larger stock holding and longer period of storage. Improved the system of monitoring and analysis of losses trend to make it more accountable, improved the policy on regularisation of losses and drafted the policy for storage losses norms and its implementation plan based on scientific study conducted by ICAR. The policy is under consideration of GoI. During September 2021, I assumed the charge of DGM in Public Relations Division with a mandate to revamp Corporate Communication of FCI. Currently involved in making corporate films, initiating in-house magazine, campaign on Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Poshan Mah, and developing strategy for social media management and outdoor communications with all stakeholders.
