  Project Manager within the Programmes Division at Pearson Qualification Services. My final project was part of a wider programme of projects scoping, developing and implementing a replacement IT system to support the qualifications within Pearson’s portfolio of products. The intricacies of the programme mean I became familiar with adopting different approaches to project methodology, namely, Prince2 for governance and progress visibility and Agile for development.Throughout my role I embeded best practice project management into the projects and activities I undertook.I minimised risk to the business by challenging existing practices, promoting and supporting improvement initiatives, implementing change and measuring performance. Show less From 2007 to 2009 I managed a Customer Service project that provided a supportive link to Pearson’s customers and put them in touch with over 250 of Pearson’s Senior Assessment staff. Responsibilities included:• Managing the marketing to customers and internal communications to promote the service.• Contracting decisions around remuneration ensuring each assessment associate received a fair pay for their work.• Forecasting analysis to ensure the service operated at optimum performance.   To lead on collaboration with senior stakeholders to over see the delivery of change. Signing off defining delivery plans, timelines, and resource requirements. To have strategic oversight of the delivery phases of all projects under the programme of work ensuring the organisation is ready for the change. To manage risks associated with the delivery process and ensure the plans are adjusted as needed.Input into the strategic business plans to better equip the organisation to be prepared deliver on it's objectives and goals.
