  I was heading Polymer BU Materials function (Head – BU Materials). Polymer BU which has 15 plants with overall spend of 900 Crs.I was responsible to provide on time material availability as per monthly sales plan for BOM & Non BOM ItemsI was also Sourcing Head - Plastic Moulding with focus on Cost savings, LTS suppliers, Capacity management, Make v/s Buy. I was also heading the Component Development team of PBU and successfully developed on time development @ 400 + parts per yearTracking saving roadmap, negotiation with suppliers for rebate agreements / YOY reductionsI was the 2nd level approver for approving Sourcing rational, Supplier price amendments, PO’s & Supplier additions/ deletions Highlights:Inventory reduction of Rs.7 Crs. during 2019 & savings of Rs.6 Crs from 2016 to 2019 in Moulding categoryAchieved YOY benefits worth Rs.50 Lacs on Non BOM Items purchase by devising supplier agreements Created an Inventory Reporting Template which flashes High Inventory Items & initiated actions to control the sameImplemented SAP based MRP scheduling in all 14 Plants and now focusing on Auto Schedule generation to all suppliersDeveloped LTS supplier base (part family approach) & consolidated 75% spend with them, phasing out 25 non performing ones.Depending on business need, added 5 new suppliers & convinced existing suppliers to add 20 moulding machines Show less
