This included working with senior customers to understand medium and long term programmes to enable better resourcing and skills planning.Promoted collaborative involvement with the customer community, including not only direct customers (eg DE&S) but wider stakeholders such as Design Organisations, Front Line Commands and Release to Service Authorities. Also set up regular technology workshops with Dstl to understand future research priorities.Responsible for the Helicopters engineering strategy and working with individual capability managers to ensure that appropriate skills/competencies will be available for future technology programmes and business strategy.Customer lead for strategic engineering engagement at Team Leader, 1* and 2* levels.
