      I was selected by the Transatlantic Outreach Program to travel to Germany and design a lesson plan to teach Modern Germany.

      Understanding Sacrifice Fellow

      I was selected to study World War II with a focus on the war in the Mediterranean. I researched the life of Maine soldier Harvey Madore who is buried in the Epinal American Cemetery. I deigned a lesson plan comparing the Epinal American Cemetery to the National World War II Memorial. His story is published on nhdsilentheroes.org and the lesson plan is published on abmceducation.org.

      I and one of my students were selected to study the D-Day Invasion during World War II. I worked with my student to research the life of Maine soldier Carl Alexander who is buried at the Normandy American Cemetery. His story is published on nhdsilentheroes.org.
