      • Counsel adults at risk for hereditary cancer syndromes including: Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer (HBOC), hereditary colon cancer syndromes (Lynch syndrome, FAP/AFAP, Serrated Polyposis syndrome, Juvenile Polyposis syndrome), Cowden Syndrome, Hereditary Leiomyomatosis and Renal Cell Cancer, Li-Fraumeni syndrome, Hereditary Paraganglioma and Pheochromocytoma, and other syndromes as needed.• Coordinate genetic testing for patients with a personal and/or family history of cancer when appropriate and provide personalized risk assessment and medical management options based on personal and family history.• Review patient pathology records, procedure reports and family history information, perform patient risk assessments based on peer reviewed and available tools, review current literature on hereditary cancer, and create differential diagnoses.• Attend Breast, Gastrointestinal, and Gynecological Oncology tumor boards. • Compose chart notes for each patient evaluated and generate patient and physician letters as needed. • Provide oversight and evaluation of clinical genetic counselors and staff.• Assist with development of the program in alliance with the mission of the University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center.• Assist with grant applications and publication of original research articles.• Instructor level III at the University of New Mexico, Department of Internal Medicine.
