  I worked on the feature length production "Scott and Sid" as a Production Assistant for 3 weeks. My responsibilities included aiding the Unit Manager with the Unit Base; re-stocking the food and drinks station, running the food and drink station, helping with the caterers when they arrived on location and directing the production vehicles towards their designated parking areas. In addition to this I was also Production Assistant to the Producer and 1AD; I helped the art department manage the set and was available to be called upon for individual tasks all through the day.   POP is an on-line platform for extras casting; my responsibilities involved approaching strangers on the street (who fit the brief in their physical appearance), explaining the opportunity to them, answering queries and questions, then, eventually sign them up if they are interested.As I runner I was also involved in 'recruitment days'; this is a session where the newly signed up extras are processed into the POP database; they are briefed, have their ID checked and go through measurements and professional head-shots for their profiles.   During my time at Meridian Line Films I worked to set up screenings of a Chinese Documentary. The documentary 'Hopes and Dreams' is a CICC feature-doc which explores powerful true stories of ordinary people from across China. The 6 micro-films each run for 15 minutes - they are all made by a different director. I contacted various groups from across the country and organised screenings of this film; many University societies became involved with the event and some Confucius Institutes. The screenings of this documentary have been a success; additionally, the project ended with a large London based event, this appeared on Chinese News. Show less

  Working as a freelance technical assistant for CTV Outside Broadcast I assist the sound and vision engineering departments on live shows and fixed rig formats. My main discipline has involved working with the sound department in depth for 3 months on the Sky Sports Cricket Season. During this time I learned how to rig atmos and effects microphones on the pitch, and was introduced to RF over fibre systems including Radio Mics, IEM's and Talkback. Other skills gained include; buzzing XLR lines with tone and problem solving noisy microphones, ending CAT 5 and BNC cables, aid in the rigging of Hothead remote cameras.   In 2019 - 2022 Northampton Film Festival was ran by Screen Northants. In 2023 it became an independent non-profit organisation in its own right.To celebrate, NFF opened up entries to feature length films AND to filmmakers from across Great Britain for the first time. For 2024 NFF is furthering the establishment of its raison d’etre – using Film and the Creative Industries to radically change how a place thinks about itself, what it is known for and what it’s next generation of creators think is possible. Through free to access local events, networking etc Northampton Film Festival wants to put fire in the bellies of its filmmakers, audiences and local residents. The board helps to advise the Festival Director on how to engage filmmakers, locals, and advance the success and reach of the festival.
