Resolved the displacement of outdated, legacy products, left from the dissolution of the former brand, to protect sales interests. Collaborated extensively with cross-functional partners on the Art, Product Management, Sourcing & Materials, and Merchandising teams to accomplish business goals. Oversaw the strategic expansion of our denim category, with the goal of size inclusivity. Slimming pockets, a functional "comfort waistband," and Ecomm exclusive sizing extensions for long/short sizing options were key elements in driving our core product strategy. Silhouette and specs were refined for the modern, misses consumer. New denim fabrications were launched for more relaxed fit opportunities. Utilized former brand (APT. 9) insights to successfully expand the dresses category by 150M. Succeeded in attracting the millennial customer with a 46% affinity towards our product versus the brand average of 28%. Achieved the all-time highest sales by item, with a sellthrough of 69%. Practiced merchandising and planning by designing fixtures as capsules, with clear and cohesive fabric, print and color stories. A temporary placement, which provided first-hand exposure to the massively underserved plus-size apparel market. Demonstrated the ability to flex between brand identities, aesthetics, and lens'. Celebrated the successful adoption of my designs into the line. Helped to research and replace existing, major fabrications with more modern options. Strategically exited major bulk fabrications without consumer disruption. Sales data provided successful woven tops programs, which were then reiterated for the knit top's seasonal line with successful results. Revitalized the core wovens product lines with modern fabric updates and by, revisiting the silhouette of longstanding key items (sales drivers). Researched, developed, and tested new garment styles and details for key item programs. Success in doing so helped to add 52% growth by category that year.
