Acted as as FEL Project Planner for the Bakken, providing support to the FacilitiesEngineering Group. Improved project/facilities long range planning to decrease project start-uptime and reduce overall facilities cost.-Planned and optimized tank battery locations during FEL process to minimize equipment costand meet environmental regulations. -Designed and maintained a project planning tool used by schedulers, engineering contractors, and project engineers which tracks schedule, deliverables, equipment, and progress.-Created ‘Basis of Design’ packages that outline site-specific parameters used for designingfacilities projects. Using this document will optimize facilities designs, improve constructionscheduling, and reduce controllable changes to projects. Show less Functioned as a full-time Facilities Engineer for the Bakken area. Responsibilities includedresolving facilities engineering issues and providing new build facility designs, maintenanceupgrades, regulatory compliance, and process improvements.NEW BUILD FACILITIES ENGINEER-Worked as a New-Build facilities engineer for newly drilled locations by preparing projectdescriptions, preliminary CAD layouts, cost forecasting, and scheduling. Project work included:• Well facilities• Central tank batteries• Salt water disposal facilities• Pipeline planning and routing• Asset retirement and abandonmentBASE CAPITAL FACILITIES ENGINEER-Worked as a Base Capital facilities engineer, providing engineering support for themaintenance of existing facilities. The projects included process, repairs, reliabilityimprovements, production enhancements, and cost saving opportunities. I am currently serving as Project Manager for the Interstate 30/State Highway 360 interchange project. This project replaces the existing cloverleaf turnpike configuration with a modern direct connect interchange. The $236 million project was one of the largest roadway projects in Texas at the time of letting. The improvements to the area aim to increase safety, connectivity, and mobility for motorists. As a consultant to TxDOT, I manage a team of inspectors and support staff in our Construction Engineering and Inspection (CE&I) division. My responsibilities range from supporting the inspection staff to managing day-to-day challenges in the field. I work with the contractor to progress work on the project and identify areas of deficiency. In this role I also mitigate and review various inefficiency, escalation, and damage claims from the contractor and subs with the help of detailed field records. I create budgets and cost estimates, process invoices, as well as remotely manage CE&I teams in other areas of Texas. Show less Once I received my Professional Engineering (PE) License, I transitioned to Project Engineer. In this role, I prepared project deliverables, reviewed and modified Traffic Control Plans, and evaluated schedules and shop drawing submittals. I also coordinated daily and nightly lane closures, ensuring detour routes were accurate and communicated changes with stakeholders and TxDOT PIO. The 30/360 interchange has had a host of unique challenges, including frequent utility conflicts and design errors and omissions. I assisted in the processing of over 150 change change orders, applying careful analysis on each and offering cost saving suggestions when possible. When the PM was unavailable, I served as Deputy Project Manager. Show less As the Project Controls Lead, I was responsible for supporting construction activities to ensure the successful completion of the I-30/SH 360 interchange project. These responsibilities include updating drawing sets, processing change orders, posting lane closures, responding to RFI's, preparing and tracking project submittals, and assisting the Project Manager in mitigating day-to-day issues. With over 600 RFIs and revisions on the project, I was responsible for investigating, tracking, and closing out issues as the project progressed. Show less
