      The Durham Business Opportunities Programme (DBOP) is a three year programme of business support aimed to encourage and enable SME's in the County Durham region to grow through engaging the business and connecting them with opportunities.The project will focus on identifying potential market opportunities for businesses and helping them to realise these opportunities and will fill gaps in the business support offer, where identified needs of County Durham businesses are not being met. This will result in better connected, more competitive SMEs. The target beneficiaries will be SME's in County Durham who have not traditionally engaged for benefited from business support initiatives in the past.Key activities that will take place through the programme are; Awareness Raising & Identification of Market Opportunities, Proactive Engagement, Introductory Workshops, Intensive Follow-on support and co-ordination and monitoring. Following the initial business engagement tailored, bespoke support will be provided to address their specific needs identified.
