      Activities and Societies: 1st XV Rugby, Rowing for the school and the Welsh Junior National Team, I played the clarinet, piano and bass guitar. I was a member of the Combined Cadet Force and represented the school at shooting competitions.

      Activities and Societies: Rowing, American Football, Yoga, During my four years at Newcastle University I covered a wide range of topics from Design and Law modules to more technical courses such as mathematical modeling and fluid dynamics. The range of skills I picked up helped me to develop into the Engineer I am today. I completed an Individual dissertation in my third year on the analysis of 2D and 3D turbulent combustion and modelling and went on to complete a second, group dissertation for my Masters year.       Student Ambassador

      I was employed as a Student Ambassador for the Mechanical Engineering department. We ran activities for up to 40 Singaporean mechanical engineering exchange students over the summers including helping out in lectures and lab work and social activities in the evenings and weekends. This tested my organisational skills as well as my communication skills and leadership ability. Ensuring all of the students felt included and had access to the events and help within the lectures.

      The First summer placement I completed with IHC EB. On placement for 13 weeks, I helped in the design of a loader arm for a 2000t carousel and an adapted version for a 500t carousel. This formed part of the below deck equipment of a 3000t vertical flexible lay system.• Experience using Autodesk Inventor and Ansys, Mathcad and P&V• An insight into what is required of a design engineer and how to approach real world problems in a professional and logical manner.• Experience of producing calculations and technical reports for various components to company standards.       I was assigned to a department called EB Solutions who deal with small, quick turnaround contracts. I was working on an A frame for the launch and recovery of a 20tonne Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) and more specifically the access and hydraulic/electrical routing for the A frame and damper unit.       I joined KBR in September 2014 and have been involved in several projects over the past year ranging from a large scale LNG FEED in Canada to a small plant revamp / expansion in Saudi Arabia. Furthermore I have had the chance to conduct several smaller technical studies into a wide range of applications and for several different clients including Shell and Chevron.       Project Manger in charge of a portfolio of works focused on regulatory compliance within the hydrocarbon bulk fuel storage sector on terminals throughout New Zealand. Responsible for the full life cycle, from scope definition through to delivery, commissioning and handover. This project required the remote management of multidisciplinary teams, strong financial and resource management and a good understanding of the PECPR regulations - 1999.Project Manager in charge of the delivery of 'Project Gotham'. A multi-million dollar utility gas infrastructure upgrade program in the heart of the New Zealand Capital.
