  Teradata CLI interface should be ported to support 64 bit data types and pointers for improvement in performance. Code is compiled with 64-bit compiler on 64-bit platform. To solve the problems in this compilation predefined macros for 64 bit like _LP64 (Sparc), _LP64__ (HP-UX), __64BIT__ (AIX) and _WIN64 (XP/.NET) are added to the code to make changes in code. New structures are added to make the existing library compatible to existing application. CLI has Transport Layer Interface that is deprecated on LINUX. LINUX strongly suggests using Socket Layer Interface.
