The processes within the fellowship aim to shape the fellow’s leadership skills and make him/her, outcome and result-oriented with a focus on the long-lasting change his/her actions can drive. The Fellowship helped me develop several core competencies while working on education systems at the grassroots in government primary schools located in the urban slums of Surat and remote villages of Sanand(Ahmedabad). • We strategized and efficiently executed a large scale assessment for 9000 students in 112 schools achieving 100% error-free assessment• Worked to set up a digital learning platform and trained the teachers to use it in classroom teaching which helped students in improving their learning outcomes• Raised ₹2.35 lakh and constructed a playground to create a safe and hygienic space for kids in the community• Piloted an independent project to increase the learning outcomes of the students and removed their fear of mathematics with the help of Abacus and designed learning modules for future use• Trained farmers in the community to make organic fertilizers and pesticides saving them 30% of their expenditure Show less
