I deeply enjoyed my time with the Denver Museum of Nature & Science as an Educator for their summer camp programs. Below are brief summaries of my work. - Instructed ages 5-13 in classroom sizes of 20-25 students with dedication to fun and safety, expanding children’s knowledge and passion for science through activities and play. - Guided students through experiments and dissections, including squid specimens and owl pellets. Taught curriculums in paleontology, biology, and space science while demonstrating the importance of safety, respect, and creativity in science.- Encouraged students’ curiosity with emphasis on respect and safety, ensuring student health and happiness with training in: Medication Administration, Abuse & Neglect Report, Bias, Emergency Disaster Preparedness, Injury Prevention, Playground Safety, and Standard Precaution for Disease. - Empowered students with communication tools and calming techniques to resolve conflict. Spearheaded conversations with guardians as needed to develop improved plans to provide the best experience for all students. Show less
