  HouseEng is the first startup the connects between skillful Palestinians engineers and the market needs through a smart mobile application. It provides several services for families, offices and individuals such as control systems, pest control, furniture maintenance, architectural design and many other utilities. A customer can easily log in into the application, the application will auto-detect his location then he will be able to have an access to the services we provided in advance. Those services are connected to an established online portal the every engineer has access to, for a specific service. The application allows the customer to rate the performance of the workers and to drop comments in case something would happen. The application was established in January 2012 and released to public in June.Due to the lack of technological usage in daily life in Gaza, we faced several challenges. In the beginning it was hard to convince the society of using the application for ordering physical services and then we had a trust issue with people as they used to deal with certain engineers and workers, so organizing the nature of their relationship through our application was challenging. So we tackled those issues by integrating between the social problems we have such as the high unemployment ratio among young talented engineers by offering them jobs and the sufficient services we offer for our customers; we are ready to serve you!As a mobile application, we believe that there is no specific geographical location for our services as we can easily scale up to other regions and sectors with high unemployment ratio and poor service infrastructure.   I was leading a Design-Build project with more than 3000 sqm located in DUBAI HILLS MALL and with 40m AED Value. It was designed and built to have kids’ attractions including a café area with a toddler soft play. I was representing the main contractor as the project manager taking over managing all the subcontractors and reporting directly to EMAAR PMC.-Perform the role of projects manager lead, leading the project team and all the subcontractors ( Civil, Structural, ID, MEP, Security, IT, Fire System) and close-monitoring all the relevant areas.-Managing the procurement phase, including identifying a shortlist of contractors and suppliers, compiling required tender documentation, releasing tender, coordinating responses to RFIs, closing tender, evaluating bids, conducting tender interviews and writing tender recommendation reports and for the management of the Contracts and Suppliers registers.-Review of technical drawings, shop drawings and proposing value engineered options for production.-Closely working with structural engineers for major design elements, optimizing design process and identifying efficient resolutions to complex Engineering solutions and production issues.-Taking over the applicable statement of work and Government-approved construction documents ( DDA Dubai Development Authority, DCD Dubai Civil Defense , DM Dubai Municipality ).-Applying for third party inspections ( TUV, SIRA ) and tracking the applications with the relevant subcontractor to close out the comments.-Sound knowledge of production and design, resolving clashes on site with Other disciplines, and establishing and maintaining RFIs, clash reports and issuing drawings to production.-Perform variety of onsite project management tasks during the installation, testing, commissioning, acceptance and closeout phases for large bottling projects.-Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
