  My principal responsibilities lie in the fields of assessment, feedback and linking teaching with research. I work with colleagues across the University on a wide range of initiatives relating to these areas. I was the manager of the JISC-funded 'ASSET' project (2008-2011) which had institutional and national-level impact focussing on the use of digital media to enhance feedback practices (http://www.reading.ac.uk/videofeedback). I lead a range of staff development sessions as part of the University's Academic Practice Programme (APP), as well as running bespoke workshops for Schools covering a wide range of teaching-related areas. I was awarded a University Teaching Fellowship in 2009 and used this funding to develop an online resource for staff, 'Engage in Assessment' (http://www.reading.ac.uk/engageinassessment), which complements the 'Engage in Feedback' website (http://www.reading.ac.uk/engageinfeedback). I am committed to supporting the recognition of teaching excellence and have leading roles in the University and National Teaching Fellowship Schemes (NTFS) as well as the University's new FLAIR CPD Framework. I also regularly present and publish pedagogic research. In 2005 I co-authored the University's successful bid to HEFCE to establish a Centre for Excellence in Teaching & Learning in Applied Undergraduate Skills (CETl-AURS) and I was the Innovation Manager of this CETL between 2005-2008.In 2013 I was awarded a Higher Education Academy National Teaching Fellowship (NTF) and Senior Fellowship of the HEA (SFHEA).   I am the Senior Educational Development Consultant based in the Centre for Teaching and Learning at the University of Oxford. I am also the Academic Skills Development Project co-lead and Director of our accredited teaching and learning programmes.I am an experienced educational development consultant with expertise in the following areas: designing and leading staff development initiatives; successfully bidding for external funding; managing large-scale education projects and publishing educational outputs; developing innovative teaching resources; and building partnerships within and across academic Departments/Faculties.I was awarded a Higher Education Academy (HEA) National Teaching Fellowship (NTF) in 2013 and I am also a Senior Fellow of the HEA (SFHEA).
