  - Interned here as a part of CSR curriculum.- Was a part of a 5 member team working on LEAP program(Leporasy elimination action program) of the NGO.- Surveyed rural areas like Shahapur, Sapgaon, and interiors of Murbad,Maharashtra as a part of the project.- Visited PHC(public health centre) and LRC(leporasy referral centre) and observed employees handling patients.- Engaged with NGO employees and doctors at PHC to understand more about the disease.- Engaged with patients to understand how the disease has affected them, their problems as to continue with the free treatment made available to them by the NGO.- Studied operations of NGO and made a few recommendations like having an updated directory for patients,setting a time limit for follow up of patients, maintaining safety and hygenie standards at some PHCs, how to have more social media presence etc. Show less
