      • Investigated capture and sequestration of CO2 from coal plant emissions using Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA)• Developed numerical simulation of PSA cycle in MATLAB utilizing finite volume method for computational determination of its performance• Optimized operating parameters of PSA operation and humidity level of incoming feed gas to minimize overall cost of the product• Created evaluation metric for rapid adsorbent screening utilizing machine learning techniques and data from PSA cycles discovering dozens of materials with better performance than the industrial standard• Trained Artificial Neural Networks as surrogate models of pressure swing adsorption steps, reducing the simulation time by three orders of magnitude Show less
