      Jun 2002 - Oct 2007
      Senior Systems Admin

      - I am the senior systems administrator for five corporate offices on the east coast. I administer active directory in a Windows 2003 network consisting of five domains and three Exchange 2003 mail servers. Our servers are protected by Symantec 10.1 Enterprise Edition, Web, SMTP Gateway and Mail Security 4.6. I backup all servers using DLT tape devices and store backup tapes in fire safes and offsite storage. I support VPN access using Windows 2003 Routing and Remote Access using L2TP. I am responsible for all connections, cabling, Cisco switches, routers, hubs and bridges as well as our wireless users using both WPA and WEP. I provide PKI in the Enterprise with multiple CA’s. I also provide firewall protection on our external router. Being the sole sys admin for Triton Corporate has provided me with in depth experience in purchasing of hardware/software and better hosting for our sites. Our offices include a variety of different connections ranging from T1, DSL, cable to satellite. I also keep all hardware and software licenses up to date in a complex inventory. Show less

    • Patriot Technologies

      Jan 2007 - Jan 2008
      Systems Administrator

Patriot Technologies is a veterans based consulting service, currently in the process of upgrading out-of-date systems for the Veterans Affairs in Baltimore MD. For the past five months, I have been involved with network discovery & disaster recovery for a poorly dilapidated network. New strict codes and security procedures have been put into place by the VA, and it is my job to see to it that they are implemented. A main part of the process is joining our domain into a single domain WAN. Among many of the obstacles are old hardware/software, ‘ancient’ applications, and web sites that are all in need of a decade of updates. I am currently in charge of over 50 servers and approximately 50 workstations. I am also working with fellow programmers to help them with the transition to modern times. I am using all prior knowledge I have learned in the past 15 years to help me in this overwhelming task. Show less

    • FermTech LLC

      Feb 2015 - Feb 2016
      Systems Administrator

I formed my own LLC ‘FermTech’ and began consultant work for the downtown Charleston area. My main project is upgrading a pharmaceutical software company called ‘Carepoint Inc.’ from a small peer to peer network to a Microsoft Server 2012 domain enviroment. I have built them multiple 2012 servers both physical & virtual. From a new file/print server to a Microsoft HyperV 6.2 to a test Citrix enviroment ver 7.6 (XenDesktop & XenApp). The development team uses the Citrix enviroment to test their software. I upgraded the clients to Windows 10 Pro/Office 2016. Installed the latest version of Symantec Endpoint and configured group policy to HIPPA standards. I have documented everything and updated their IT & emergency policy mauals. I upgraded their Sonicwall firewall and Barracuda backup. The company has doubled in size and is running far more secure and efficient. Show less
