      • Oversee all Land, Permian Regulatory, Lease Records and Division Order functions for QEP’s entire portfolio of Permian and Williston Basin assets, consisting of 144,000 acres of fee, state (North Dakota and Texas), federal and Indian leasehold assets.• Lead a team of 27 professionals. Responsible for communicating corporate goals and objectives across both Permian and Williston divisions, ensuring corporate-level compliance, driving strategies from enterprise to asset level, and planning and monitoring annual land acquisitions budget in excess of $10MM. Closed 16 individual transactions consisting of both divestitures and acquisitions, cumulatively amounting to $13.2MM in consideration.• Part of Leadership Committee, which is comprised of a small number of key leaders and the 5 officers of the organization; discuss corporate strategic direction, evaluate all areas of the organization’s performance and ensure corporate-level compliance of legal and regulatory requirements. Provided formal testimony as an expert land witness to the NDIC to seek approval of spacing units, overlapping spacing units for lease line wells and force pooling of non-operated interests.• Directed and managed external land brokers in their preparation of title examinations, abstracting, securing of curative documents and the submission of title and mineral ownership reports for the preparation of DOTO’s. Secured DOTO’s from external title attorney’s, obtained communitization agreements from the BIA, pooled unit designations from the NDIC, and negotiated JOA’s with working interest partners in preparation of drilling operations.
