      Working within the Trade & Working Capital part of the corporate bank, I was responsible for owning and managing a portfolio of products within the Working Capital product team, building on my previous experience within Trade & Working Capital. The focus of this role was around Invoice Discounting/Factoring products, with responsibilities including:- Ownership of client channels to improve client experience - Developing process improvements through innovation- Project Management- Stakeholder Engagement- Supporting Senior Product managers Show less This was my second rotation on the Barclays Degree Programme. This role was a great development opportunity for me as it allowed me to not only develop my Invoice Discounting knowledge in even greater depth, but also develop my personal and professional skills even more, putting me in a great position to roll of the programme into a full time AVP role at Barclays. Elements of this role included:Achieving and exceeding agreed performance targets of new Factoring and Invoice DiscountingfacilitiesInitiating lead generation initiatives within a given area with a view to maximising business potentialfor Sale Financing Products.Building relationships with the Coverage RM’s to identify factorable business to obtain an introduction for qualifying customers with a cash flow requirement.Completing analysis and preparing all new business proposals for submission for credit assessment.Taking ownership of the new business processes during all stages on-boarding new customers to a high standard. Show less I am on a unique programme which allows me to work in a full time position, whilst studying for a degree. This unique combination enables me to develop both my academic knowledge and also the practical soft skills required in the recruitment market.I carried out my first rotation on the Barclays Degree Programme working in the Trade and Working Capital Division within the Corporate Banking area as a Relationship Assistant. Within this I had many responsibilities, including to develop relationships with customers, monitor risk and maximise income, by working in partnership with a Relationship Manager to provide the best solutions for our clients, whilst benefitting Barclays.Alongside the day to day responsibilities held by this position, I have actively sought after further development opportunities in order to promote my development.
