The plant's successful completion 3 months ahead of schedule and within budget, resulted in the construction and commissioning of 4 DD (Dehydration & Dew point) plants,5 Gas Treating plants, Utility & flare, KO drum areas with 4 PIB (Process Interface buildings) and a CCR (Central Control Room) building, it started operating since April 2003, which has a major impact on the energy market.   Qurayyah Power Plant is in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, near the city of Abqaiq. The plant is operated by Saudi Electric Company (SEC) and has a total installed capacity of 2500 MW (4 Steam Turbine units each of 625MW producing capacity). Honeywell Middle East secured an EPC contract for a control system replacement project in JULY 2004, winning the competitive bid from Saudi Electricity Co. for the design, supply, installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of a reliable and expandable DCIS system to replace the existing systems at the Qurayyah Power Plant.As a site custodian from the SAECO-I&C team, I led a team of 150 skilled workers, Technicians, and supervisors to execute the replacement of the existing control system with a state-of-the-art Honeywell supplied EPKS DCIS system with GE’s Mark IV control system and complete renovation of the existing central control room with operator control desks and office furniture. This included managing construction, material transportation, installation at the site, and providing commissioning assistance to the Honeywell Team for the start-up, resulting in a successful and efficient upgrade to the control system.• My goal was to ensure the successful integration of the control systems with the overall project design and to guarantee a safe and efficient operation of the facility.• Lead successful contract management from start to finish by expertly negotiating, approving, and awarding contracts while ensuring scope, cost, schedule, and quality align with company standards.   The successful completion of this project, two months ahead of schedule and within budget, resulted in the construction and commissioning of two gas trains, NGL and crude shipping pumps, NGL & Crude storage facilities (three (3) 1.2 million Barrel Floating-Roof Tanks site-constructed and commissioned, and a flare system, and the completion of instrumentation construction and pre-commissioning works, all without any lost-time incidents.The detailed design and procurement activities were completed ahead of schedule which supported the early construction start date. In addition, a total savings of about 3.5 million Dollars was achieved. I successfully completed and closed out the Downstream Pipelines and Khurais Gas package within 6 months of the On-Stream Date of June 2009, ensuring that they were operational and ready for use.• Ensuring budget and technical quality, delivering timely status updates on all project tasks to drive successful completion.• Equip new and national trainees with necessary skills to independently perform their duties through participation in training. As the direct custodian of the project P&L, I oversaw all aspects of the project, from the initial sales stage to its completion in 2018-19. My responsibilities included finalizing contractors and subcontractors, managing multiple suppliers and vendors, conducting HSE and QA meetings, and leading internal progress reviews.
