  Project Title: Designing Water Quality for successful Water FloodingUnder the guidance of: Dr. R.K. Sharma, Chief Manager (Reservoir), IRSThe project involved accurate evaluation of a specific water source considered for water flooding & to effectively minimize problems associated with the impaired injectivity. At the end of the project an Optimized Treatment Design for the polymer was proposed to attain favorable results.Following Water Quality studies were conducted to reach results - Physico-Chemical Analysis, Bacterial activity, Scaling studies, Cerini Plot, Filterability test, Series Filtration, Clay swelling, Doze Optimization for coagulation, flocculation, chlorination and scaling inhibitors.   Job responsibilities as a Log Analyst for M/LWD projects:Pre- Job Phase-Liaise with the customer on sensor requirements and their primary objectives to run each senor.-Precise study of the field and downhole logging environment. Crucial when running Advanced Formation Evaluation Tools – Borehole Acoustic Tool, Formation Pressure Testing Tool, Lateral Resistivity Tool and others. -Establish customer-specific templates for daily logs and other type of data formats.-Direct the field engineers in the pre-job briefing regarding the advanced tools and its data acquisition program.-Review all the tool calibration & verification sheets which are planned for the job.-Review all the input Tool parameters and Environmental parameters in the surface data logging system.-Finalize the Final customer data package requirements.During the Job Phase-LWD data constantly monitored while drilling. Assessing whether the tool response is feasible in consideration of responses of other tools, cuttings data, expected geology, offset well log data etc.-Changes in any of the tool responses should be evaluated immediately upon recognition.-Discuss the anomalies with Customer’s Geologist & Petro-physicist team.-Review & assist the field engineers for Real-time processing of advanced formation evaluation tools.-Ensure that all the data formats and logs provided to the customer meet their specific requirements.Post-Job Phase-Re-evaluation of memory data retrieved from the FEWD tools once the BHA string is POOH, using – QC plots, diagnostic data and repeat sections.-Compete the post job processing of high end formation evaluation tools to deliver advance results - Compressional & Shear picking, Dispersion Analysis, Sonic caliper, Anisotropy analysis, Sonic- Cement Bond logging, Static/Dynamic Images.-Follow up with customer to elucidate any data analysis or failure analysis related to real time or memory logs.-Release of final logs and reports to customer after QA/QC.
