  I was deputed to correct and allot marks for the Standard X English exam papers. As part of a team of examiners, we worked meticulously for a fortnight, following the CBSE guidelines strictly and objectively. It was a great experience to be an examiner, working to keep to deadlines and maintaining all the required standards of evaluation.

  Teacher for Middle School students

  Planned and implemented a Middle School TOEFL program for ESL students. This included vocabulary building, TOEFL Reading Comprehension Strategies, Writing for TOEFL, and listening activities from TOEFL practice kits. Practiced differentiated strategies to accommodate students, widely diverse in age and learning backgrounds. Likewise differentiated strategies for every skill and activity were practiced.Organized a variety of whole-camp presentations, such as, multimedia interactive quizzes, Jeopardy quizzes, parodies, a mock United Nations Security Council in session, filmed as a digital movie, poster and PowerPoint presentations on topics of environmental concern, and other fun activities to motivate learning. Sports and games were also organized during the four-week program.Helped to organize field trips around content topics, in Chennai.   Headed a team of ESL teachers and assistants to provide a highly structured and well-planned language instructional program for K-10 ESL learners. It was a skill-based, multi-disciplinary approach to developing language proficiency for all levels of learners, incorporating technology, art, music, theater, and sports.A wide repertoire of strategies, based on the theory of multiple intelligences were used in a fun and non-stressful atmosphere, keeping in mind best practices in pedagogy.Differentiated Instruction provided the framework to meet the needs of the students from diverse learning backgrounds and learning styles.The summer school was successful in preparing both new and returning students, for the forthcoming academic year.
