      I worked as part of the team organising the local elections and Referendum on Alternative Vote. I regularly assisted members of the public with queries, in person, in writing and over the phone. I assisted on election day by ensuring that electoral policy was followed at polling stations and advising members of the public on where to vote.Following the elections, I was entrusted to independently manage the elections office for a period of two weeks.

      I worked as a project manager on a range of projects in different teams across the organisation.Projects included:- Working with the IT department where I managed the implementation of the Microsoft Sharepoint system to the organisation. I was required to quickly develop a good knowledge of the product in order to support teams in adopting the system while adhering to a strict corporate deadline.- Working on projects within the Environmental Services team including the Recycling Improvement Plan to boost the area's recycling rates. I engaged with the public at recycling roadshows, discussing recycling habits, providing advice about recyclable materials and gaining feedback to help improve our recycling services.- Managing the council's abandoned vehicle process as part of my role in Environmental Services. This included the procurement of a new contractor for the service.-Working in the Leisure team to manage the delivery of the Get active 50+ project within Waverley. For this I worked with stakeholders including Surrey County Council, sporting NGBs and individual providers to ensure the delivery of accessible sporting activities for key target groups.- Within the Leisure team I have also set up and delivered British Orienteering's Xplorer programme across the borough. This included arranging training for staff and ensuring necessary resources were in place to deliver this activity to families at multiple sites in Waverley.- Managing the council's apprenticeship scheme; from advertising the positions, interviewing candidates and supporting their development within the organisation through to assisting them in finding roles after their apprenticeship. Show less I worked as part of a busy team providing support to Council and Committee meetings. I was responsible for preparing agendas and taking minutes at a number of Committees including the Audit, Planning, Overview and Scrutiny and Licensing Committees as well as informal working groups and officer meetings. I attended meetings to advise on procedure rules and other constitutional matters.Additionally, I Provided support to the Civic Office, including preparation of the Mayor’s diary and organisation of civic events.
