The team of 25 people working across Singapore and Malaysia, applying human-centered design and business model innovation to social challenges. Design for Learning uses design thinking and other creative tools to design, test and implement innovative learning materials to improve teaching and learning and experiences. The team employs more than 70 people working in 30 markets around the globe, delivering large scale events, marketing services, professional development and training as well as insight and consultancy services. I lead on to co-develop and deliver client-orientated campaigns in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia for the UK education institutions. My roles are: (a) Monitor trends in the industry and competitive landscape to provide market insights to clients(b) Improve clients’ bespoke campaign delivery by providing up-to-date consultation and designing personalized campaigns(c) Be equipped with solid knowledge of online and offline marketing strategies and tools, including social media channels, search engine marketing, email marketing and physical events(d) Build and manage the ecosystem of marketing channels and service providers(e) Explore and secure collaboration opportunities between education institutions and local stakeholders i.e. professional bodies, government bodies and industry players(f) Develop and maintain good relationships with local education institutions from school to university levels.       Marketing team in the British High Commission provides strategic communication and marketing strategies to better promote Global Britain, and to build UK soft power to shape positive perceptions of the UK and its values. One of the main pillars of UK soft power is education. The contract role requires me to:(a) Identify collaboration opportunities with corporations, government agencies and other key players to deliver better marketing and communication outcome for the mission (b) Organise and manage various programmes to promote UK and its values, including EPL Connects Malaysia campaign to promote EPL 2021 season, Rotary Peace Park Nature Tour to promote UK COP 26 presidency, Together for Our Planet Dinner to recap COP 26’s successes with key stakeholders, etc (c) Develop marketing frameworks for the team so that the team can better showcase what the UK has to offer in term of UK education (d) Synchronise marketing efforts and strategies between various Her Majesty’s Government (HMG) officers such as British Council and British High Commission(e) Roll out new brand identity for UK GREAT campaign in Malaysia, including working with education institutions and partners to educate them on the new brand identity(f) Manage and execute several grant-funded programmes with themes around parliamentary reform, media freedom, rights to information and anti-modern slavery.Key achievement:(a) Successfully drove Chevening Scholarships application rate by +20.6% (b) Welcomed Pahang Crown Prince, guests from the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Environment and Water, press as well as more than 200 key stakeholders from the climate action community to Together for Our Planet Dinner.
