  15-day short stint at Swaswara Gokarna. Swaswara – literally translated as ‘the sound within one’s soul’ – is an ecological venture by the Clean, Green, Healthy (CGH) hotel group. It is probably the only resort in India to possess one of the most advanced rain-water harvesting systems.The resort architecture plays an important role in merging the nature and the ancient aspects of the ‘exotic’ India, i.e. yoga and Ayurveda, to provide a complete, holistic experience of India to its customers. By tying up exclusively with the European travel agents, Swaswara ensures that its customer base is primarily and specifically only the foreigners.My two weeks here were focused on understanding the different approach the resort followed in catering to guests.   Industrial Exposure Training Program for a period of 26 weeks. This internship gave me working exposure in various operating departments of a 5-star Hotel.Key tasks and responsibilities included~- Assisting my supervisor to manage Minibar operations. Kept track of inventory, compiled consumption data and bills to prepare reports.- Co-handling night shift operations of the coffee shop.- Handling VIP service during Corporate Events.- Interacted with guests, handled guest queries and complaints.Achievements~- Awarded an appreciation by the Front Office team for overall contribution to the department.- Received various positive reviews from guests on TripAdvisor during my posting in the coffee shop.- Received excellent remarks from Asst.
