      Ackworth School is a school of 300 pupils in a sleepy village of Ackworth, West Yorkshire.       Marketing Derby's aim is to promote Derby in order to support and attract investment. This is done by raising the profile of Derby through constant communication of positive news/messages and campaigns. By hosting potential investors, working closely with partners in the private and public sectors, hosting events and developing tools for the businesses in the City to use in order to foster positive growth, Marketing Derby are responsible for a host of valuable investment into the City.Marketing Derby work closely with key partners such as Derby City Council and is joint funded by the public and private sectors.My role here was to make Derby 'best in class' online, to maintain the 3 websites that give all the information about staying in Derby, investing in Derby or visiting Derby.I played an integral role in managing events all over the UK, taking Derby to key leaders in business and the government. These events ranged from VIP receptions at new developments within the city to large scale presentations with PR stunts attached!I also supported the development and management of the 'Bondholder' scheme developed by Marketing Derby. This is a dynamic and valued community of businesses who support Marketing Derby financially. They are a a big part of Derby's regeneration and receive various benefits such as the incredibly popular events programme which involves inviting 10 - 300 delegates to a range of events throughout the year.During my time at Marketing Derby, I also aided the implementation of a CRM system, becoming a paperless office.
