A perfect example is when Citigroup buys a bank in another country (like they did with Banamex, Mexico’s largest bank). My responsibilities entail surveying and researching the incoming data, creating fit/gap analysis, gathering requirements, mapping data elements to the existing database, determine data usability, cleaning data, and then transforming the data into the corporate database. I did this over and over my career, with enormous success.As a result, I have great proficiency in creating conceptual and detail designs, process flows and data models; brainstorm with functional and technical teams to create gap analysis, requirements analysis, and design specifications; determining the level of effort, allocating offshore or local resources, and help offshore or local developers code per the design; helping clients with test plans and test scripts, system, integration and UAT testing, troubleshooting and providing solutions to technical problems; ensuring documentation is accurate and complete; and help the client understand the final solution.These assignments required daily interaction with both technical and functional groups around the world.
