  The Dockside Inn is a 22 room Boutique Hotel on Martha's Vineyard with a small but dedicated staff of Front Desk Associates and Housekeepers. For the 6 months the Hotel is open (May-October), my role as the General Manager was not the common duties of a traditional GM. I oversaw all front desk and house keeping while still working my own front desk shifts. This allowed me to ensure front desk protocols were being handled properly as well as create lasting relationships with the guests.My duties included assisting guests through check in process, ensured efficient room turnover through organization, communication, and managing housekeeping. In addition to my most important task of retaining a positive company image by effectively managing service recovery challenges through creative problem solving.
