  As a research student of the faculty of engineering of the University of Wollongong, my responsibilities were:• Participate and collaborate in a research group with other experienced and professional researchers in the development of a project which consisted in the study of the difficulties faced by people (mainly adults) at the time of opening food packaging. • Lead the design and construction of a device capable of opening food packaging and simultaneously measure the forces required to open these packages.• Coordinate activities with different companies within the industry, such as visits, conferences and consulting sessions to obtain data to compare with the experiment results.• Write an article which describes the whole procedure of the experiment and which highlights the conclusions made about the study.   Auxiliary Maintenance

  I joined Omya Andina in December 2012. There, I worked with the responsibility of supporting and assisting the Maintenance area. Among my responsibilities were:• Leading a group of 15 workers, who provide the mechanical, electrical and electronics knowledge to attend the requirements of plant equipment, into the development and application of projects and strategies in order to fulfill the company's strategic objectives. • Generate monthly the Predictive Maintenance Program which describes the activities that have to be done by the mechanics and electricians to each machine on the plant. • Inspect compliance of scheduled tasks for a good operation of the plant.• Coordinate and evaluate repair and manufacture of parts to be used on the equipment.• Technical consultations with external.• Train plant personnel in the improvements in the processes.• Prevent pollution and risk situations that cause harm to people and the property.• Report unsafe acts and conditions.Besides my main responsibility in the Maintenance area, I have had the opportunity of working as Head of the Production Department for a period of three months. My responsibilities in this position were:• Review constantly the utilization of plant capacity.• Schedule the production of the plants according to customer orders and inventory.• Evaluate compliance of the daily production.• Participate in improvements of productivity of the plant.• Plan and coordinate the tasks on the plant.
