      Sept 2006 - Sept 2007
      R & D Developer - Semiconductor Laser Active Filter

Worked under the R & D Team lead by Gabriel Campuzano, researcher of the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM). Semiconductor lasers are within the smaller and more efficient. They have sizes on the order of a few millimeters and broadcast at wavelengths covering from the infrared to the visible frequencies. The development of these laser sources is a research area of great importance, particularly in the design of new manufacturing materials that allow the emission at a shorter wavelengths. This research was based on the simulation of a semiconductor laser in MATLAB with the purpose of studying how the wavelength varies depending on the laser’s operating parameters. After all variations were identified and characterized, it was analyzed the operation of a semiconductor laser (slave) injected by another semiconductor laser (master) to characterize a non-linear active filter based on the injected laser. Oct 2007 - Sept 2009
      R & D Developer - RetroSpat System

Worked under the R & D Team lead by Sylvain Marchand, researcher of the LaBRI (Laboratoire Bordelais de Recherche en Informatique), within the Gran École Nationale Supérieure d’Électronique, Informatique, Télécommunications, Mathématique et Mécanique de Bordeaux (ENSEIRB-MATMECA).RetroSpat stands for "Retroactive Spatializer" and it is a free software project for the spatialization of sounds represented in the spectral domain. This system is intended to be a spatializer with perceptive feedback. More precisely, RetroSpat can guess positions of physical sound sources (e.g. loudspeakers) from binaural inputs, and can then output multichannel signals to the loudspeakers while controlling the spatial location of virtual sound sources. The RetroSpat system was being implemented as a real-time musical software under GNU General Public License (GPL) and MATLAB Code was used as a tool to implement algorithms, to create user interfaces, and to add graphical multidomain simulation and Model-Based Design for dynamic and embedded systems.
