After managing site H&S and hygiene best practice for several years in 2006 I took responsibility for the Technical/Quality department. In addition to retaining all of my previous responsibilities, as the business developed into non-food, medical and cosmetic product areas, I ensured compliance to a wide range of regulations and legislation. Communicating on a regular basis with representatives from the medical licensing authority, HSE, ISO, BRC and Environment Agency. Liaising daily with Engineering and Production departments and producing a variety of H&S and Quality statistics. Raising safe systems of work and implementing strategies for continuous improvement. Conducting COSHH, HACPP and Risk assessments. I managed resources and budgetary control for H&S, waste management and hygiene on site. Raising awareness of environmental issues and implementation of a recycling programme. Other responsibilities included managing the company new product development programme and Supplier audits in the UK and abroad.Maintaining company ISO and other quality related certifications. Liaison with third party auditors and customers. Management of internal and external audit schedules (UK & abroad) and developing a team of internal auditors. Drafting and implementing policy and procedures to promote continuous improvement across the site.
