  In addition to all the swim instructor duties listed below, acquired the role of official supervisor for the swim lessons location (site) for the session taught. Required to be present in all conversations between any other instructor and a parent, and acted as the leader in all emergencies at the site. Conducted instructor evaluations, attended additional inservice meetings, and engaged in office hours where student certifications were printed and pass/fail information of ECPR programs was inputted. Communicated any questions or problems from other swim instructors or the site to the Aquatic Planners. Worked 16 hours a week, for two weeks at a time (3-4 times a summer). During the school year, taught 4-6 hours a week, over 8-10 weeks. Show less Was responsible for scanning the given zone and protected patrons in the pool. Enforced rules, provided first aid or life-saving care, and performed appropriate rescues when needed. Executed opening and closing pool duties such as cleaning up garbage, putting out signs, replacing garbage bins, cleaning bathrooms, setting out toys and the lap lane, and moving garbage bins. Assisted the staff when emergencies occurred at the pool such as an EAP, accidental fecal release, or vomit in the pool. Engaged in weekly skills check to refresh lifeguarding skills and attended monthly inservices to improve complete staff skills. While working indoors, the same duties were performed in addition to completing a safety check of the pool and surroundings. Worked up to 40 hours a week during the summer, and 5-10 hours a week during the school year. Instructed up to 4.5 hour segments at a time, teaching 30 or 55 minutes classes. Taught all 6 learn-to-swim level classes, preschool aquatics, and parent and child level classes. Educated children in swim stroke progressions and water safety. Possessed high knowledge of each stroke, explained, demonstrated, and provided feedback to children on their skills. In other shifts, cleaned many different structures and locations of the store. Worked up 4-6 hour shifts, 2-3 times a week.
