  Granary Associates specialized in healthcare planning, architecture, interior design, project management and financing, providing services to the nation's leading health care institutions. Granary Associates was acquired by Stantec in 2009.I worked for Granary Associates for nearly 13 years. During this time I worked as Project Architect and Project Manager. My latest and most notable role was Chief Specifier.I managed and produced architectural project specifications and project manuals for new and renovated health care facilities as well as for a variety commercial projects.During my tenure as specification writer I am most proud of publishing BIDDABLE and BUILDABLE project manuals for 250 projects that resulted in FEW RFI's, without missing a deadline!   CSI began as an organization of construction specifiers developing standards for writtenconstruction documents and has emerged into a multi-disciplined organization creating standards, formats and practice guides for organizing building information over the life cycle of a facility.I held various leadership positions (Director, Vice President, President-elect) culminating in election to Philadelphia Chapter President for fiscal years 2010 and 2011. Chapter numbered 150 architects, manufacturers’ product representatives, facility managers and building contractors.My major accomplishments include leading an 11-month planning effort to host CONSTRUCT 2010 (CSI National Convention); redefining the Technical Committee which culminated in a building envelope seminar attended by 75 people; and enhancing communication and project management among board and committee members.★★★★★✎ For additional information, please send me an email.   CertainTeed Corporation, a subsidiary of Compagnie de Saint-Gobain, is a North American manufacturer of building materials including asphalt roofing, vinyl siding, building insulation, gypsum board and acoustical ceiling products.I provided technical expertise related to building codes, industry standards, regulatory requirements and product application to drive sales of asphalt shingle, modified bitumen membrane and photovoltaic roofing products for residential and commercial applications. My responsibilities included staying on top of the changing landscape of roofing industry regulatory requirements, obtaining new and maintaining existing product approvals and partnering with marketing managers and product development engineers to influence and drive sales.I initiated and led a 12-month long project to compile regulatory agency approvals for over 500 roofing products into a database for ease in responding to customer inquiries, identifying expirations and maintaining current product labeling.
