  I was able to take and pass the G.E.D exam on my first try. This was an academic achievement of mines, because prior to taking the test, I was out of school for 3 years. I dropped out at the end of 10th grade because I didn't feel like I was being academically challenged at the school I was attending. Then, once I had my son at 16, I knew I would at least have to get my G.E.D so that he could view education positively and not make the same mistake as me because I regret it.
