  The department staff of about 100 consists of highly skilled engineers for installation, commissioning and life cycle support for power projects and jobsites all over the world for engines, electrical systems, automation and engine automation. Turn over for these projects have been annually 1.0 – 1.4 Billion Euros and number of delivered projects annually 70 – 90 in 50 – 60 countries.These power plants consist of baseload plants typically for national grids or captive plants for industrial purposes. Today majority of natural gas fired power plant deliveries are intended for optimizing intermittend power production by renewables power generation capacities (Wind, Solar, carbon neutral production). Wärtsilä has been very successfull minimizing carbon footprint in the markets of developed electric power with advanced ancillary market economical facilitators. Within Wärtsilä we are running annually about 600 engineers pool (Including service network and subcontractor resources) working on the jobsites for power projects.During the time of department manager, my teams have commissioned over 1000 projects and 30 GW power generation capacity worldwide.Other achievements:•Proof of concept project for Pointr (Augmented Reality) testing with 100 test users in Americas Area ES delivery projects (2017)•Commissioning engineer training program since 2007 with over 40 held courses round the world. •Smart Power Plant technology training program for project and commissioning staff (grid stability, grid compliancy, carbon footprint optimization)•Initiating the project “Maxwell” to manage follow up, tax day, work permit process set up for cross border travelling engineers •Site resource planning board & reporting development and maintenance since 2006 ( Retain Planner)•Deputy roll out manager for SAP in Service 2005•Recruitment and training for numerous engine, electrical and automation specialists working in service today in Wärtsilä Show less
