      Director

Took two dissimilar plays: HOME FREE and MY NAME IS RACHEL CORRIE and established a universal "take" on them, exploring the humanity of the characters and resisting the temptation of making judgements. The stellar cast of each production (only two in the first, one in the second) created memorable interpretations that resonated with critics and audiences alike. A very personally satisfying experience, working with Artistic Director , Trevor Copp, a young visionary in Burlington Ontario who is passionate about bringing the world to Canada, and Canada to the world. • Burloak theatre

      Apr 2013 - May 2013
      Principal actor

Oakville playwright, Peter Gruner, wrote a play called MINCED which was submitted for the Hamilton Fringe Festival in 2012. I saw it and thoroughly enjoyed it, never dreaming that a year later it would be reprised in Burloak's ENTERTAINING SHORTS and that I would get to work on it, directed by good friend Tom Mackan and acting opposite good friend Tamara Kamermans. To work with friends is such a joy, isn't it?

    • Redbetty theatre productions

      Jun 2013 - Aug 2013
      Principal actor, ghost train riders

Ghost Train Riders is a segment of a larger work, PASSENGERS, by playwright extraordinaire, Radha Menon. Her equally talented husband, Tony Sciara, directed the piece and her beautiful daughter Maya, played my character's younger self. It was a joy, from start to finish and I very much hope that I will get to reprise the role when RED BETTY brings the entire play to the stage sometime in the (hopefully) near future!PASSENGERS recently held a one day workshop wherein I was thrilled to reprise the role of the grandmother, now named RUKHMINI. Radha Menon has created a sagaof intertwined lives that I hope will be mounted soon! It's a fascinating journey! Show less

    • The halton waldorf school

      Nov 2013 - Dec 2013
Adapter and director of a christmas carol

a 12-rehearsal (count them, TWELVE!) period wherein I collaborated with 12 members of the faculty (11 on stage, one the lighting operator) who hunkered down and did everything possible to ensure that a 30 minute adaptation of Charles Dicken's classic got performed for 2 evenings in front of a supportive audience that applauded the anthroposophical aspect of Scrooge's transformation to make this is a Waldorf Christmas Carol. A glorious experience for which I will forever be grateful.
