I am a founding team member and helped draft a business plan for the Skillscraft store on Barksdale AFB where we brought services and opportunities for employment to the legally blind community.   Jodi Carcamo Freelancing was founded to fill a passion for creating something beautiful while serving others. My first magazine subscription, Rolling Stones evoked my love for page design, advertisements and the written word all rolled into one. My passion continued in high school where I was on the J.M. Tate newspaper and yearbook staffs. After graduation I remained steadfast on this journey and studied print journalism and public relations in the Hall School of Journalism at Troy University. I received my degree and followed my dream to Washington, DC where I worked on the Hill as a staffer and tour coordinator. As a tour coordinator I developed my love of organizing and planning travel through exciting excursions in our nation’s capitol. Next, I followed my heart and the United States Air Force to Louisiana where I worked in public relations for a non profit. This opportunity began my love of serving others. This is the foundation of my career and is where I draw my inspiration from most days.
