Modeled after our Advanced Leadership Seminar, this will be a small program of 25-30 delegates with a dedicated staff who will create the curriculum from scratch each year to meet the particular needs of the students."       - Presented selections of African-American spirituals at the state, regional, and national level as a part of the Hal Johnson Spirituals Competition through the National Association of Teachers of Singing- Adjudicated by 3 panels of vocal scholars and professors on my vocal tone, musicianship, and artistry as well as authentic interpretation of the negro spirituals arranged by composer Hal Johnson- Consulted African American spiritual experts and scholars to grasp the historical contexts and texts of each spiritual- Worked with a faculty mentor and vocal coach, Dr. Polly Butler Cornelius, to select and prepare the vocal repertoire.
