  University Technology Network was a strategic best practices development project set off in the early days of technology transfer in Denmark. Overall the three universities of western Denmark joined forces with the aim of brining industry and investors closer to the universities involved in order to combine mutual commercial interest. I functioned as the UTN Project Manager for Aarhus University taking a very active role in the strategic development of the, at that time, very unique concept. The intensive dialogue with industry and investors secured a professional concept aligned with industry expectations and became the key to the success UTN represented at the time being for both, industry, investors and the universities involved.   START is a unique collaboration by the united Danish Universities with the overarching purpose of delivering future research solutions to unlock the green transition of Agrifood Systems. START is on a mission to identify and develop for systemic transition of the agrifood system, in order to meet the sustainable development goals of 2050 securing healthy food and biomass sufficiency within the planetary boundaries. With a strong focus on an integrated and inclusive approach based on interdisciplinarity, START aims for gearing and providing the optimal conditions for extended academic collaborations that supports researchers to develop and unfold the tools and strategies for future solutions, together. When we collaborate across disciplines all the way from natural, technical and digital sciences to social sciences and humanities, arts, and when we share knowledge, expertise, and ideas - we create more impact even faster.START strives to pursue any opportunity to become an attractive lead partner in international research consortia. START enters the European arena as an academic “Powerhouse” in the top-3 of European knowledge institutions in the green domain with a substantial participation record in EU Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe programs. A recognised and acknowledged position in the European research arena opens new opportunities for leading roles in consortia with propositions for funding and societal impact. Vis mindre Research on aquatic environments has been a major focus area for several research groups at Aarhus University, and in some areas the groups are in the absolute world elite.Aarhus University Centre for Water Technology - WATEC unites and strengthens the research in water technology by forming a platform for collaboration between the various groups and to form a channel for communication with external partners.
