      As Special Education Liason/ Coordinator I serve as the in-house expert on Special Education policy, procedure, and protocol. Show less As an Intervention Specialist I create and or modify curriculum to address the unique learning needs of students with intellectual, emotional and specific learning disabilities. I yearly increase students fluency levels by at least 20%. In my classroom, I've increased my students reading comprehension, on average 1.3 grade levels, per school year as evidenced by curriculum based assessments. I'm adept at utilizing data to set individual learning goals for students as well as to monitor progress towards those goals. I work with my students to set learning goals at the beginning of the school year, teach students to self monitor goals and conference with scholars to discuss progress towards goals once monthly. I regularly use assessments tools to inform instruction in the classroom. Network to bring in relevant classroom speakers into the classroom at least once quarterly. As an educator I've been awarded four donors choose grants to purchase needed materials to ensure my students receive the best learning experience possible.
