      insa (indian national science academy - summer research fellowbiocompatibility for graphene was investigated by microwave exfoliation of collagen-graphite solution. this novel technique eliminates the harmful chemicals used in hummer's or modified hummer's method. raman spectroscopy was used to characterize the graphene having application in supercapacitors.

      a mwcnts epoxy sensor was developed as a non-destructive technique. cvd method was used to deposit the cnts over silica fibers which were embedded in epoxy. the sensors were characterized for electrical resistivity in tensile and 3 point bending tests.

      Project engineer

      developed a novel cantilever touch sensor based on the piezoelectric principle. the sensor was successfully studied using an analytical model (vibration-piezoelectric principle), designed as a prototype (tested in the laboratory), and then finally assembled on an in-house developed robot to characterize the corrosion defects in the actual pipeline. the project was sponsored by gail india ltd.
