The course covered the full range of sampling techniques for air, water, soil, and indoor contaminates. The semester culminated in writing and implementing a field sampling plan for the Looking Glass River.Environmental Rules and Regulations (ENVR 121) provided a challenging introductory course to the laws and precedent regulating environmental protection. The class took a historical approach, from the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 all the way to laws governing the present-day operation of the EPA and other relevant government agencies. As the legislation progressed, so did our understanding and command of writing legal documents, arguing cases, and identifying key requirements for laws to be successful. Show less
